1. Cultivate the soil to a depth of approximately 100 – 150 mm.
2. Prepare a fine, level and firm seedbed.
3. Apply Lawn Starter at one handful per square metre and lightly rake the fertiliser into the top soil.
4. Spread Lawn Seed at about one handful per square metre. Sow half the seed in a north-south direction and the other half in an east-west direction.
5. Lightly rake the seed into the top soil. This will protect the seed and aid good germination.
6. Water the area frequently with a fine spray. Keep soil damp at all times until the lawn is established. On hot and windy days your lawn may require several waterings.
7. Mow your new lawn when it’s height is about 6cm, removing only the top 2cm. When mowing an established lawn always leave it about 4cm tall.
8. Apply Lawn Food at one handful per square metre after six weeks.
9. Once the lawn is established, good weekly waterings are preferable to frequent light watering.
10. To maintain a healthy, rich, green lawn, fertilise with Lawn Food at one handful per square metre every 8 – 12 weeks.
