Product Description
The Wireless Valve Link product family eliminates some of the biggest contractor costs in irrigation installations: copper wire and unnecessary excavation to connect or repair distant valves. Like decoders, it replaces commodity wire with Hunter ingenuity and provides an efficient alternative to activating irrigation valves. Once connected, wireless signals are relatively immune to issues that commonly afflict wired systems, such as wire degradation and lightning damage.
With the Wireless Valve Link, you can add valves over 650 m line-of-sight (or more with a Repeater) and beyond without the need for new valve wiring. Often described as a wireless decoder system, the Wireless Valve Link provides a flexible solution for complex landscapes. Now it’s possible to cross concrete sidewalks and asphalt driveways wirelessly, saving time and money during installation.
- Works with Hunter ICC2 and HCC Controllers and is compatible with Centralusâ„¢ and Hydrawiseâ„¢ Software.
- Adds up to 54 valves (+P/MV) up to 650 m line-of-sight or more with a Repeater (purchased separately)
- Licence-free LoRa Technology enables wireless communication directly to the valve box — no copper field wiring required.
- Combines with conventional ICM or two-wire EZDS Modules for ultimate flexibility
- Uses Hunter DC-Latching Solenoids
- WVL maximum distance to solenoid: 30m (depending on wire size)
- One or two 9V batteries per WVL
- Solar recharging option with Solar Panel Kit (purchased separately)
- Built-in site survey and manual test functions ensure successful operation once installed in the field
- Low-profile, waterproof valve box lid mount for field durability. (Requires 38 mm diameter hole in valve box lid for installation. Hole saw included with WVOM-E output module)
* Wireless range is subject to terrain, foliage, buildings, and other site factors. Consult product documentation before installing.

Commercial Irrigation Valves FAQs
Our range includes high-flow solenoid valves, self-cleaning, high-pressure, brass & non-potable options. Options cover different sizes, materials, and specifications suit & match any commercial system requirements.
Commercial irrigation valves are heavy-duty valves designed for large-scale systems such as parks, sports fields, and commercial properties. They are built to handle higher flow rates, greater water pressure, and more frequent operation compared to residential valves.
Different brands of commercial irrigation valves are generally cross compatible with any brand of irrigation controller, they key consideration is the electrical specifications of the system. Generally, irrigation systems run on 24v AC power, but some brands of 2-wire decoder systems are designed to work with 12v DC Latching Coils.
Yes, SunshowerOnline supplies replacement solenoids, diaphragms, and other components for most major commercial valve brands, allowing for cost-effective repairs and ongoing maintenance.
Leaks may be due to debris trapped in the diaphragm, damaged seals, or cracked valve bodies. Disassemble and clean the valve, replace faulty parts, and check that fittings are tight and properly sealed.
Ensure you have a regular maintenance schedule system reliability & maximum up-time. You generally don’t need to replace valve internals unless a fault or a drop in performance is observed or you have known water quality issues. But regular valve external inspections for leaks & manual flushing will extend the lifespan of your valves.
Installing a master valve is highly recommended for most irrigation systems, especially larger or commercial setups. A master valve is an automatic valve installed on the main water supply line before any zone valves. It only opens when your irrigation controller is running a watering cycle.
Yes. Many homeowners successfully install their own irrigation valves. With the right tools, it’s a manageable project. SunshowerOnline provides detailed product information, helpful guides and expert advice to support your DIY installation.
However, if you prefer professional assistance, we can connect you with qualified installers.
Irrigation valves are mostly a set & forget proposition, but if you’re noticing a drop in performance, you may need to open up your valves debris and signs of wear and tear. For preventative maintenance, you can flush your system periodically using the manual bleed on your valve to remove any buildup that could clog valves or sprinklers.
The lifespan of an irrigation valve can vary depending on several factors, including the valve quality, water quality and system maintenance. Generally, a well-maintained valve made from durable materials can last 10–15 years or more. And while uncommon, factors like hard water with mineral buildup or frequent pressure fluctuations can shorten their lifespan.
The standard irrigation valves has a 25mm BSP thread with a 24v AC Solenoid Coil, those specs are compatible with standard irrigation controllers & pipe connections & are suitable for most irrigation applications. For battery applications you’ll need to work with 12v DC Latching solenoid coils & when flow requirements increase, you’ll need to consider larger thread sizes.
Typical symptoms include zones not turning on or off, water leaking when the system is off, low or no water flow. These issues often indicate electrical faults, blockages, or worn components.
If an irrigation valve isn’t opening, it’s likely because of an electrical fault. Insufficient, or no power is reaching the valve to open it, or the solenoid coil itself has failed. This could be due to a faulty controller, a cut wire, failing cable joins, undersized cable or a failing solenoid coil. You can test test by process of elimination, or book a contractor come and assist
If you have determined that a solenoid coil has failed, you can replace just the solenoid coil, rather than the entire valve. SunshowerOnline stocks replacement coils and parts for most major brands.
Irrigation Valve Installation typically requires installation in a manifolded configuration. This can be done with PVC fittings (most economical), or specialist Manifold Fittings (easiest install and maintenance). Our range includes all necessary connectors, adaptors, and joiners for quick and secure setup.
Most 24V AC solenoid valves are compatible with standard irrigation controllers. For battery-operated or DC systems, ensure your controller and valve are matched for voltage and type.
All solenoid valves and fittings come with manufacturer warranties and the backing of our expert support team. We’re here to help with product selection, troubleshooting, installation advice, and ongoing system care.
Fully installed by a professional, a domestic irrigation system will come out to about $1000 per zone. And as a DIY project, it can look more like $300 per zone!
