CST ELF Flow Sensors

CST ELF Flow Sensors
The Enhanced Low Flow (ELF) sensor from Creative Sensor Technology measures rate of flow in small diameter closed pipe irrigation systems.

This innovative new design, allows this sensor to measure flow rates over a range from 0.75 to 75 LPM using the proven impeller technology of the other CST flow sensors. Two models are available a 3/4” PVC socket or 1” threaded design. This new design eliminates the need for straight pipe sections up and downstream of the sensor allowing for installation in tighter spaces. In fact, solenoid valves may be connected directly to the downstream end of threaded ELF versions resulting in a flow sensor/master valve combination less than 12 inches long.

This flow sensor is compatible with the Rainbird ESP-ME3 Modular Controller. (not compatible with the Hunter Hydrawise range)

Unique design of custom molded mounting tee
  • Provides improved minimum flow detection, expanded measurement range and more repeatable outputs.
  • Eliminates the need for straight pipe sections before and after installed sensor.

Electronics fully encapsulated in proprietary epoxy compound
  • Sensor designed for installation below grade and underwater. Covered by lifetime warranty

Distinctive lightweight 4 blade-ed impeller
  • HDPE material reduces the minimum flow rate detection, resists wear, corrosion and fouling

Integral High Clearance bearing
  • Self cleaning, flushes out solids, wear resistant

Improved Detection Circuitry
  • Circuit contains superior over-voltage and over-current protection, noise filtering and signal conditioning.

Removable flow sensing insert with o-ring seal
  • Captive retaining nut holds insert in place. Simple, one-hand service in a valve box Impeller bearing and shaft located out of flow path
  • Easy to troubleshoot

  • The main safety concern is regarding the water supply. To avoid contamination of the mains water upstream, in most municipalities, a Dual Check Valve is required at the water connection.

  • A garden tap is an excellent place to connect your irrigation system. Ideally, install a connection point behind the tap (turn the water off first) so you can still use your tap to fill a bucket when you need to.

  • No, unless you’re tapping into your water supply, a plumber isn’t required. Most domestic irrigation systems can be installed by anyone half handy.

  • Well you’re in the right place! We’ve got it all here. The first step, is drawing out a plan of your garden, to scale of course. If you need help on how to do that, you can get started right here!

  • We get any number of calls from people across the country who've bought from overseas & have problems. From electrical output problems to thread compatibility problems & other problems that we aren't able to help with!

By buying from SunshowerOnline, right here in Australia, you can be sure that your warranty issues are covered, that compatibility & compliance isn't an issue & that you'll be able to get helpful after service advice.
